Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid collagen biostimulator that works differently from hyaluronic acid fillers. Rather than adding immediate volume, it works over three to four months to rebuild your body's own collagen framework, producing a natural, gradual improvement that does not look injected. At O Body + Wellness in Fort Lauderdale, Sculptra is used for facial volume restoration, temple softening, and cheek structure support.
The mechanism is biostimulation. Sculptra's PLLA microparticles trigger a controlled fibroblast response, rebuilding collagen where it has been lost. The result is a naturally thicker, more supported skin structure rather than a foreign substance occupying space. Results build progressively and can last up to two years.
Sculptra requires a planned series of sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Results are subtle during treatment and progressively more visible as collagen rebuilds. This is not an immediate-result treatment, and that is by design.

The treatment
Sculptra is injected with a cannula or fine needle after topical numbing. Sessions take 30 to 45 minutes. Immediate post-treatment swelling will look like volume — this resolves within a week and is not your final result.

Swelling and mild bruising for 3 to 7 days. We ask patients to massage the treated area for 5 minutes, five times a day, for five days to distribute the product evenly.
